Got the final set of textures onto this today, a nice warm sandstone. This is part of the A3 renders Im sending off to the client. If approved Im rendering sections of the model at up to 3 metres high for print, should put my patience to the test!

I’ve done some work to the specular and reflective components of the shell textures. Now I can see how flat the last ones looked.

egg wires n maps by Dale Schulz [Dasch]

Here are the working bits for the easter egg. The egg was constructed by attaching a reshaped, open-ended cylinder to the top and bottom of a subdivided cube. This gave a smooth top and bottom curve without poles or tris to stretch the UV-mapped textures.

Reworking some things on this conceptual vehicle. Made sure that a human would actually fit inside comfortably. Basically made sure that it is as a tangible project that could be worked on. Mostly just for fun.

Bunny and Egg test by Dale Schulz [Dasch]

A couple more parts for my Easter Image. Preliminary textures. The bunny is an old model I dug up - one of my early Silo models. It needed a LOT of cleaning up. A good way to judge your progress is to open up an older model. Gak! The amount of tris and 5-sided polys was astonishing. It is now all quads and is UV mapped. The egg is a new model. AND my apologies to all the helpful folks that spent time on my amethyst glass texture. Looks like I will be going to an opaque white glass for the eggcup.
