August 24th Challenge - Fantasy Computer - Rules and Conditions
The benefits of the contest:
1) Winners will receive a charming trophy to place on their website.
There will be a second and third place trophy, and they will be silver and bronze, respectively
2) There will also be a smaller graphic, that looks a lot like the larger graphic, that will reside on the winners profile page on StrataCafe, forever and ever.
3) People can come to this page to get information on up and coming contests and view past winners (That would be you!)
4) You will receive the adoration of your friends and family, as well as most of the people who visit Strata. (Note: Adoration not a guarantee.)
For this contest, the subject is Fantasy Computer. Now, I don't mean the new Octium 800 GHz machine, what I mean is industrial design. Say you had 30 billion and a team of researchers. What would you have them create for you? Holographic monitor and mind control? Or do you prefer Glass or Stainless steel computers?
It does have to be fully modeled, textured and rendered in Strata3D (any flavour).
Entries will be accepted until August 24th. The intention here is for a quick turnaround and resolution. No one likes contests where you enter and then 4 months later find out someone else won ;-)
Entries will consist of a 640 x 480 rendered image, and a screenshot of the model in S3D.
Judging will be done by a panel of judges. I will select the panel after the close of the challenge from among community artists that did not enter the contest. The judges will not know the names of the contestants.
Pay attention to lighting, camera position, and general composition.
Please, if you have any questions or suggestions regarding the contest, please email me at: michael@stratacafe.com
