I just got hit by lightning!.. I can no longer use my Strata Studio Blitz 1.75 from 16 years ago... old G4 is toast... can't boot into 9.2.2.. so I'm lost... I don't want the latest version, just that runs on Tiger 10.4.11.. I need booleen, so SE is out.. I've spent over a decade learning this preogram If I can't boot 9.2.2 I'm done!... So what do I do?... Please help!

You might want to recognize that for now, finding a used G4 (or even G5, I think) is a very good interim solution that will also only last so long. When that G4 goes, then what?
If I were in your shoes, I'd buy a used computer for now, and make plans to transition to newer software that can actually be used on current equipment. At this point in time, relying on obsolete software that requires obsolete equipment is a dicey proposition, as you have just learned.

Thanks Stratagizer... I just purchased a G4 MDD 1.25 that was supposed to be dual boot, but alas it is not (800 firewire ports).. Im wondering the rendering speed difference between classic blitz 1.75 and strata cx se on tiger 10.4.11... I have a 600mhz G3 that will still run blitz.. no trouble modeling.. But the rendering is so so slow.. It has been a month since lightning destroyed my G4 1200 mhz that was satisfyingly quick enough.. My site fergusonscastle.com desperately needs updating..Would purchasing CX SE and running it on MDD be the best option for me?

| CX SE (app store only product) requires an Intel processor. And because it is an App Store product I think the minimum system requirement is 10.6.6. So, this isn't looking like an option for you with your current machine configuration. |
