I hope it's on a list, even if low priority
here is a sample of what the human readable txt looks like
are there too many parameters, or not enough for the strata Camera

Now that we're *very* close with 6.1 this camera data import should be doable. Do you have access to specific documentation for the highest priority formats? Something with just camera data would be preferable so we don't have to parse through a bunch of junk to get at it.

Here is the one I am interested in:
Terragen2: Camera motion can be imported from Nuke .chan files and Maya .mov files. Third party tools are available that allow you to transfer camera motion to Terragen 2 from Maya, 3DS Max, Cinema 4D, Blender and others. Soon we will add support for FBX files to provide an extremely smooth import/export experience with many other applications. FBX capabilities will be available in free updates of Terragen 2 Deep Edition.

I assumed we were talking only about camera data import to Strata. Aren't you talking about exporting camera data from Strata for Terragen? In any case it's a separate task.

Yep, I guess so. But they do mention FBX as a future round tripping format. The animatable world files are human readable XML, so some developers for 3DS Max and Maya have managed to use that to extract the needed camera information.

I'm interested in MatchMoving. recreation of camera movements in a 3D space (based on real-word footage)
looking at getting the camera data into strata
MatchMoving software i've started looked into
icarus. - free (formats export list, image I posted) Syntheyes - used in the industry, supposedly very good for tracking complex shots. Boujou - also industry standard, used in A LOT of films. Very expensive. PFTrack - also used in the industry. Very fast tracker.
I'll be doing the final assembly in after effects so ideally having a format that works in both would be great.
I'm not sure what format would be the best for Strata nor do i know what the strata camera would need to match the field of view
going to do more research
thanks eg

...anyone got an update on this possibility?
If we could do camera matching (maybe tracking inout file format) I could retire early ! :-)
..can we not do something with Lua ?! If we knew the Camera angle, positon, scale, direction data (from PFTrack, etc) can we input that data manually with the Lua scripting window in Strata?...
Can someone at starta give me an example script to control / change the camera direction please :-)
Camera [derived from s3d.database.Directional]
Methods:
GetCameraType() -> String Description
GetViewAngle(Number) -> Number Number ->
Description
GetZoomFactor(Number) -> Number Number ->
Description
IsOrthoGraphic(Number) -> Boolean Number ->
Description
SetViewAngle(Number, Number) Number -> Number ->
Description
SetZoomFactor(Number, Number) Number -> Number ->
Description

We've got some stuff we're working on that isn't ready yet, but if you'd like to be a guinea pig and commit to some beta testing let us know offline via an email to the support address.
